Massanutten Resort - Summer Vacation 2007

This year we spent our summer family vacation at the Massanutten Resort in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We were lucky to be able to go with Chris' dad Dale, his wife Anita, and her two sons Justin and Daniel. So there were 9 of us all together. Unfortunately, Justin and Daniel were only able to stay for a few short days. But Chris and I and the boys, and Dale and Anita all had a wonderful week. We were there from the 15th through the 22nd and had a really nice condo on one of the summits of the mountain. The view was absolutely gorgeous and from the windows of our condo we could see a lot of deer out in the trees and meadows. The whole area was beautiful. Everything was green and lush and really helped us vacation from the busy city life that we normally live. The Massanutten resort is a ski resort in the winter, but there is plenty to do during the summer. We were there from Friday the 15th through Friday the 22nd and were able to squeeze in golfing, miniature golfing, river and pond fishing, go karts, tubing, an illusionist show, arcades, the water park, gemstone mining, playgrounds, skateparks, tie dye t-shirt making, and the Shenandoah Caverns. I'm sure there was more too. We were busy the whole week, so there wasn't a lot of relaxing on the vacation...but everyone had a great time. One of the highlights of the trip was the indoor waterpark. We spent three full afternoons there and the boys absolutely loved it. There were water slides, a wave pool, and a huge indoor water playground.
It was really great to be able to spend such a wonderful week with family.
I took too many pictures to put them all on here. But I hope you can see the key points of our trip through these pictures. Have a wonderful summer!
