Some of you have been asking to see Caden's cast...so here it is! He has this cast on until the first week of February when they will take it off and re-xray his foot.
This is the second cast that Caden has had within the year. In February of 2006 he was put in a cast on his left ankle for a fracture in the bone.
This cast is the result of typical boy wrestling...on New Year's Eve Caden was knocked down by a pillow while playing with his dad and Cavin! I guess he has weak ankles because the next thing we knew the doctor was telling us that he had torn a ligament within his ankle. According to the pediatric orthopedist, it is possible that Caden's ankle would heal on it's own. But because we were talking about a busy toddler, he thought it would be in Caden's best interest to cast it for a month just to be sure that it healed correctly.
I will update you again when we go back to the orthopedist in February!
