I hope you all had a nice Memorial Day weekend!
Memorial Day...
To some, it is a day for the Indianapolis 500. To others, it is a day to remember to wear their seatbelts as the National 'Click it or Ticket' campaign kicks off each year. And to many more than that and on a much more serious note, Memorial Day is a day to remember fallen loved ones. However, officially, Memorial Day commemorate the U.S. men and women who gave their life while in military service to their country. I hope everyone took a moment to remember all of the fallen servicemembers that have given their lives for this great country we live in. I know we did.
And of course, we also used the weekend as an excuse to barbecue and spend time with friends!!
On Sunday Chris and a few of his friends attended the annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle ride to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Wall. I think the final word was that there was over 500,000 motorcycles in attendance. It is quite an event each year, and really stands for a great purpose.

Then on Monday we took the opportunity to get together with a few friends and enjoy the nice summer weather. The kids played outside all day and had the time of their lives. Even with 5 kids running around (ages 5 and under with no naps)...there were no arguments and no fights. Can you believe it? Something about the warm summer air, popsicles, and Ashlynn's big waterslide that brought constant smiles to the kids' faces.
