Caden wanted to celebrate his birthday on Friday night instead of waiting until Saturday...so once he got home from school he got to pick where he wanted to go to dinner. He chose "The Cowboy Place" which is the Longhorn Steak House. And of course, Chris and I didn't argue with him one bit. Even though we knew he was going to order macaroni and cheese with a side of broccoli, at least Chris and I were getting a good steak dinner out of the deal. So we headed out for a wonderful dinner...which of course was concluded by the entire wait staff singing Happy Birthday to Caden and bringing him a HUGE ice cream sundae. He was a little embarassed, but we could tell he loved that the attention was all focused on him. And he is definitely proud of being 4!
Then, after dinner we headed over to the Spotsylvania Mall. RideMakerz (one of the boys' favorite stores...think Build-A-Bear for boys) sponsored the Big Foot monster truck to come to the mall to crush cars. The boys had a great time. They got to go right up to the truck, climb around, and even talk to the driver. They looked so small compared to the HUGE truck. But they didnt let it scare them...atleast not until the engine started!
