The big birthday party...

This year we celebrated the boys' birthday party at their favorite place...Ricky's Candy, Cones, and Chaos. Their cousins Jordan and Cannon were able to come, along with a lot of their other friends. The people that ran the party took all of the pictures. Of course, they sent me home with a CD of 100 pictures...so I hope these few showcase the event well enough.

You wouldn't think that 10 kids ages 5 and under could sit still and be calm...but they all sat right down and waited for the party activities to start.
The party started with all of the kids getting to color their own t-shirts. They thought this was great, and Caden, Cavin and their friends from school all made sure to wear their new t-shirts to school on Monday. Caden was especially excited to match with his best buddy Jacob. Jacob lives down the street and also is in Caden's class at school. The two of them are inseperable!

Then the kids got to make their own candy necklaces. The necklaces each had a little bottle on the end of them and the kids were able to layer the flavored sugar in different designs. They all wore their necklaces for the rest of the day...sneaking tastes when parents weren't watching.

Next up was a game of Pin the Tail on Ricky! Cavin wasnt crazy about this and really enjoyed just watching. But the rest of the kids had a good time. Caden got the tail right on the first try!

And everything was followed by birthday cake and singing. The kids all sat around in a big circle playing little games and singing songs. Thanks a ton to Ms. Kendra, Caden's teacher from school, who really got the kids involved in the songs.

And of course...they had to take a picture Chris and Dave just sitting and watching everything!
Then, unfortunately the party was over...but everyone headed back to our house for pizza and presents and the boys had a great time playing outside with of their friends. And one by one, the kids cried their eyes out when it was time for them to go home. I guess that means they had a good time.
