On Thursday night, Nana and Aunt Diana flew in to spend a few days here in Virginia. So, despite the cold weather, we wanted to have some fun.
Friday morning we got up and headed to the Children's Museum in Richmond. The kids had a great time. They got to make crafts, do a lot of role-playing, play with water, with sand, and even play in a room completely set up for shadow puppets. Cavin's favorite part was the Apple Tree. It was a big tree in the center of the museum that dropped red balls down random tubes. Cavin ran in circles trying to get the 'apples' and get them into his basket. He would have stayed there for hours! Caden will tell you that his favorite part was 'everything'. But he spent most of his time in the workshop - working on the race car. He changed the tires, fixed the muffler, and so on. The kids really thought it was a great place.
When we finally left the museum, we ate lunch and headed to Old Towne Fredericksburg. We did some Antique store shopping, and found some amazing things. It's crazy how much history is laid out right in front of you sometimes. The hardest antiques to explain...the big box of bullets. Caden was about 100% sure it was just a box of rocks.

I've never been to the childrens museum because all I've ever heard about it is negative stuff. But it looks like you guys had a really good time there. Maybe we'll have to go check it out afterall.
Wow! What a cool museum!(Beat the Detroit one for sure!)Jacie looks so big waving hi and "chillin'" with her feet up! Sounds like the boys had a blast- caden under the car is very realistic looking! And the fast food...well, we can pray that is just a kid phase like the garbage man! Glad you guys are having a fun visit!
