Caden is a great big brother to Cavin and Jacie, and looks up admirably to his older brother Cameron. He loves being in the big-brother role most of the time, but gladly passes the responsibility off to Cameron when he is around.
Caden is smarter than his own good. He is already bored in school, and is constantly questioning everything. Kindergarten starts in less than 100 days and he can hardly wait.
He LOVES baseball. He had never really cared one way or another about baseball until he and Jacob became such close friends. Since Jacob liked the New York Yankees, Caden followed suit and now owns more ‘fan gear’ than any 5 year old should! Even his shoes have a little blue NY on them!
Caden spends most of his free time outside playing catch or practicing his batting. (Did I mention that he LOVES baseball) But on the off-chance that he gets to veg out in front of the television, he will watch pretty much anything that is on. Of course, a Yankees game wins every time. But a Washington Capitals Hockey game is a close second.
He also likes to sing and rhyme. Not too many moments pass where he isn’t coming up with a little catchy tune in his head. His favorite songs right now? ‘The Boys are Back’ from the High School Musical 3 soundtrack and ‘Lean on Me’. Where that one came from, I have no idea. I just walked in his room the other day to him saying “Some…times in our lives…” Too cute.
In the past year, Caden has learned to swim on his own, ride his dirt bike, play T-ball, read 4 letter words, and so much more. He is currently working on tying his own shoes, using his Heelys and riding his bike without training wheels. Tough life of a kid.
If asked, Caden will tell you that he wants to be a black-police man when he grows up. (Make sure you don’t confuse him with the brown-sheriffs and the blue mall-police. Ha ha)
Some funny quirks about Caden:
He has freckles on his nose…but only on one side.
He likes to have his hair short and styled every day. If Daddy gets a haircut, Caden isn’t far behind.
He will ALWAYS order water at a restaurant.
He loves to work out, and has his dad help him on pushups and sit-ups every night.
Girls are still yucky…’what the heck’ is a HILARIOUS statement…every little friend is his ‘dude’…and a bike ride to the playground with a stop at the Ice Cream Truck is a dream come true.

Oh my Caden - how you've grown up. I love all your pictures also, they are all so good. You really do love BASEBALL. You'll have to Papa and me how well you can swim while we're on vacation. Only a couple weeks to go - hope you're getting excited. We are. Love you.
