‘Little Brother’ doesn’t really fit for Cavin, since he is ½ inch shorter than Caden and slightly heavier. The ‘Crazy One’ fits him a little better. And not surprisingly, a lot of people call him that. There is no way he is going to let himself fall into Caden’s shadow! Other nicknames for him…Cavi…and Luda (called affectionately by his dad)
Cavin is an all-outdoors little boy. He loves every sport he has laid eyes on, and is willing to try anything. There’s nothing wrong with that…but it is a little scary as Cavin is a NATURAL at everything he tries.Soccer...quickly get the ball from any opposing team? No problem.
Baseball…catch a pop-fly? No problem.
Basketball…dribble with either hand? No problem.
Football…catch the 7yr old with the ball to pull his flags? Well, we are still working on that. But that is a speed thing…not a technical skill thing.
He played soccer this year for the first time and loved it. He now kicks around a soccer ball any chance he gets.
But Cavin loves sports, and has declared himself a Boston Red Sox fan to keep the arguments with his big brother escalating. He also loves to cheer on the Washington Capitals, the Washington Redskins, etc. His love of sports doesn’t stop at the traditional level either. He still spends plenty of time on a scooter, a skateboard, his Heely’s, his dirt-bike, and so on.
Cavin heads straight to his bicycle when he gets home everyday. Maybe it’s the speed, maybe it’s the independence. But to me…it is a little nerve-wrecking when I see him flying down the street without hands! See…the Crazy One. And his favorite show right now? Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. (This show could be why he is so crazy)
He is definitely the class-clown type. If he knows the subject his teacher is talking about, he will find some way to make the whole topic hilarious. Does anyone else see this to be a problem once he starts school?
Some funny quirks about Cavin:He is a NIGHTMARE if he is hungry.
He thrives on being in the spotlight, but is shy around strangers.
He could live on brown bear cookies and sweet tea.
Cavin always wears two different socks…wants his ears pierced…thinks Jacie is the most precious little girl on earth…and can have ANYONE wrapped around his finger in a split second.

My dashing Cavin! I love your pictures, they are all so good, can't decide which ones I like the best. Mommy described you perfectly, but she does know you best. I can't wait to see you - not much longer. I love you.
