Sadly, On December 3, 2009 Chris' grandfather Lake Sellers passed away at his home in Baxley, GA.
Thankfully, we have some wonderful friends/neighbors that were able to watch Caden so he wouldnt miss school, and Chris, myself, Ronni, Cavin and Jacie all loaded up in the truck and headed on the 10 hour drive to Baxley to be with the family and to attend the memorial service.
We had a great time seeing everyone, and Cavin was in his glory to get a few days to play with his cousin Hunter.
The memorial service was nice, and had a few moments that brought tears to our eyes. Especially when they mentioned that Granddad Lake was preceded in death by his daughter Jeannie. We miss Chris' mom so much, and times like these really bring that close to home.

Chris' Uncle David lives in the old family house and I managed to snap a few cute pictures of the kids playing outside. Unfortunately, Cody was sleeping, and Caden and Cameron weren't there...so I couldnt get a good grandchild picture. But these turned out cute nonetheless.
Cavin and Hunter, posing for the camera...
There are talks about turning these two big hunks of metal into Silo Homes. Should be fun!!! The kids already think they are fabulous and were looking around inside.
Just Jacie...
'Cheese!'
Just Cavin...
I thought this picture was adorable!!!

Jacie Jean...I think we have a matching picture of this of Jeannie when she was little.

It's always sad when someone passes away, but nice to "reunite" with family. And it looks like the kids had fun. Glad it was a safe trip!
Love it. If you find the picture of Chris' mom, you need to put the two pictures in a frame side by side.
