Happy 4th of July!!!
What a great occasion…a day commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776.
This year we celebrated with a traditional day in the sun. Barbecues, swimming, being with friends, and of course…fireworks! And for Jacie’s 1st 4th of July, it turned out to be a great day.
We headed out on Friday morning to stay with some friends in Charlottesville, VA. It was a really great time. The kids just played and played all day. At any given moment there was a 4-wheeler and a dirt-bike racing around the yard…while other kids were on swings, in the pool, or just playing fetch with the dogs. All of the kids seemed to enjoy a day of just being kids.
We finished off the evening with fireworks. And like a perfect little baby…Jacie slept through it all!
