T-Tubes

This morning we made yet another trip up to the hospital...this time for Cavin!
Although he had surgery back in Spring of 2006 for p.e. tubes in his ears, he needed to have something put in place that was a little more permanent. His ENT doctor decided that T-Tubes would be the next step.
Usually, tubes are put into place because of frequent ear infections. But Cavin needed tubes to help his ears drain, and help his eardrums to fall back into place. He was having a very hard time hearing, and we needed to get everything fixed before any permanent hearing loss occurred.
Cavin was very cooperative the entire time and did great with his surgery. Unfortunately, his ear drums were VERY retracted so the procedure wasn't as smooth as it should have been, and he is in a lot of pain right now. But the Tylenol seems to be kicking in, and he is just glad to be home.
There arent any pictures of him after the surgery...but as you can imagine...his cheesy grin was gone! But here is a picture of him before they took him back to the OR.

Poor Cavin. I truly hope it helps!I bet he got lots of attention at the hospital, what with that grin and all! I love the kids quotes by the way. They are too cute!
