Busch Gardens - Williamsburg, VA

Last Saturday we packed up and took the kids to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg Virginia. We went with some friends of ours...so there were 16 of us all together. Have you ever tried going to a theme park with 16 people? Don't do it! :) Just kidding...it wasn't that bad.

The weather was VERY hot and humid. But the lines for the rides weren't long. So all in all, everyone had a great day. Even Jacie survived a day out in the sunshine. And she seemed happy and content the whole day. Of course, who wouldn't enjoy a day where they could just lay down and be pushed around in a stroller and enjoy the outdoors!

Caden and Cavin had fun riding all of the kids' rides. They weren't quite tall enough for the roller coasters. Maybe next year. But they had a good time on the things they were allowed to ride. I think they enjoyed the mini-waterpark the most.

Cameron had probably the best theme park experience of all time. He took off right when we got in the gate, and he and the older kids all ran around to the big roller coasters. Eventually most of the kids trickled back to where us adults where...but Cameron and another boy Brandon stayed out on the rides, and actually met a friend to hang out with. Lucky them...this new friend of theirs had a pass to get them to the front of every ride with no lines at all. So, needless to say, Cameron and Brandon got to ride EVERYTHING as many times as they wanted. And to top it off, Cameron spent $2 on a carnival game and ended up winning the biggest stuffed dog you have ever seen! We had to have our friends take it home since it wouldn't fit in our truck. I'll take a picture of it once we get it back.

We got to the park when it opened at 10am and didn't leave until about 9pm. At that point everyone was hungry...so to avoid more park food, we stopped at Wendy's before we headed home. We took up one whole section of the restaurant, and there were more straw wrappers being blown around than I had ever seen. But everyone was laughing and having a good time. It's a good thing we'll never go back to that Wendy's again. They probably wouldn't let us in if we tried.

I bet the kids had a blast and everyone was terribly exhausted! Jacie looks like she had as much fun as the boys! Enjoy the rest of the summer, winter will be here before you know it!
