Spring sports 2011

Here I am getting ready to sign the kids up for their fall sports, and I haven't even posted pictures of their spring sports! Sorry!!

Of course, it's easy to guess that our spring was full of baseball and lacrosse. I'm really not sure yet how things will pan out once Jacie starts with activities. I have just mastered being in two places at once. Three might be a bit tricky!!

Caden played for Spotsy County Little League again on the Napoleta Pizza-Coach Pitch Yankees. It was so much fun to watch these boys play! They have a camaraderie that is unbelievable, and a love for baseball that goes unmatched in the area.

This was the final season that these boys were able to play together. In fall 2011 they move up to the next level and have to be drafted into possibly separate teams. So while they had an amazing season, it was bittersweet for everyone.

The Yankees finished out their season in 1st place, leaps and bounds above their opponents. And the best part...with this group of boys, it wasn't about winning or losing. It was about being out on the field together as a team. (okay, so it was a little bit about winning!)

Cavin played for the Spotsy County Lacrosse Club U9 Ravens. As one of only three 5 year olds on the team when they started...he had to really step up to the challenge of playing with and against 6-8 year olds. But he played his heart out every time he stepped foot on the field, and has truly turned lacrosse from his hobby to his passion. He made some of his best friends in his first season as a Raven, so I know that there will be many more memories
made and many more days spent out on the lax field.
