Of course, what better way to recover from our FREEZING trip to Philadephia, then on a cruise down to the Bahamas. Sunshine and sandy beaches were calling our name!
We arrived in Baltimore, paperwork in hand, and met Nana and Papa in the check-in area. The kids were just as excited to see them as they were to get onto the ship. We are so grateful for our time to vacation with them. There are so many miles between us - the time together is dearly cherished!
Nana's camera was out and ready to go as we boarded the ship!
Once on board, we found a spot to sit and re-group a bit. With so much to see and do, we definitely needed to take a deep breath and officially turn on vacation-mode.
Caden and Jacie were so intent on watching Papa's every move. I think he already knew at this point that he would have little shadows throughout the week.
Checking out the room, and trying on the life jackets. Notice Chris' legs in the background, already relaxing. Caden just wanted to make sure this thing fit...I think he will be just fine!

Muster Station A...we all line up and make sure we know where to go in case there is an emergency. Got it kids? They tell you on day 1, but that's it. It's on you after that.
It was pretty chilly out here on the deck...I think we were definitely ready for the weather to change. What's the point in packing swimsuits if we were going to be stuck on this deck all afternoon.
(Check out the guy behind me's hat! In case he makes it the whole cruise-week without seeing the 'bottom' of a girl in a bikini, he at least has his hat!)
The rest of Day 1 was just exploring the ship, and figuring out where to go, what to do, etc...fun has officially started. The question was just 'what do we do first!?'
Dinner time!! One of my favorite parts of cruising is the nice family dinners every evening! Even the kids enjoyed being able to dress up a bit, and just be together.
