Time for another adventure!!
I started looking through the excursions that Carnival was offering and noticed that almost all of them had a stop at Port Lucaya for shopping. No need for the planned trip...we jumped into a cab and told them to take us to Port Lucaya, and within a few minutes we were on the other side of the island in a gorgeous shopping area.
Jacie had her hair braided while we waited for the stores to open. It was so cute, and out of her eyes for the rest of the trip...sure with I could replicate that at home!
pink and purple beads of course!
After shopping for a while, we followed a few signs to the nearby beach. Luckily, we ran into friends Aimee and Kevin and their family, and the five kids were able to play on the beach together - almost as if they were on their own island. There was no one around us and the beach was just beautiful!!
Back at the shops, the boys had their names carved into wooden swords. They turned out great and are great keepsakes for them to have.
This crazy guy called the kids over for a picture, then made me pay him $1. Total ripoff! But the kids thought he was cool...and it was a great last stop before we headed back to the ship.
