Last year at this time, there was no such thing as Spotsylvania County High School lacrosse. None of the schools offered the sport - if you wanted to play, you had to find a private club.
Well, after lots of great support, determination and dedication by a few key volunteers, Massaponax High School became the first high school in the county to offer lacrosse to both boys and girls.
Cavin idolizes the players of the Ponax lacrosse team - watching their every move, and harassing them on and off the field! He cannot wait until he can put on a Panther's jersey and represent the school. When that day comes, Cavin, Chase, Cooper, and many of their friends will look back and remember this year when playing for Ponax finally became possible.
Until then, these crazy boys will wear their Ponax LAX shirts and continue to cheer on the team.
