Sunday afternoon - back at Boardwalk at the Beach

Sunday afternoon, when the wind picked up and we had to leave the beach...we headed back to Boardwalk at the Beach. The kids basically just ran around and we all just enjoyed the day. We did the typical touristy things...including eating gigantic chocolate covered rice krispy treats and chocolate covered twinkies. Gotta love vacations!

We finished Sunday off by taking the kids to MagiQuest. Now, if you have never heard of MagiQuest, you will definitely have to check it out. The kids LOVED it.
They started out by picking out the magic wands and creating their Magi-Names.
My 'creative' kids became...
Magi-Cade
&
Magi-Cav Once they got their wands, they headed into the magic kingdom to recieve their quest from the wizard in the stone pillars. All of a sudden, their wands started bringing everything to life. If a box was closed, a flick of the magic wand would open it. If a light was off, a flick of the wand would turn it on. CRAZY technology.
Anyway, the kids were issued a list of items to find to complete their quest, and then got to run all over this magic kingdom bringing things to life, finding their list of items, and solving riddles and puzzles. It was really an awesome place. Not only was it fun for the kids...Chris and I had a good time too. There is one about an hour away in Williamsburg, VA and we are already planning on taking the kids back in the spring.

And then of course...the vacation had to come to a close. We had a nice family dinner on Sunday night, hit up the hotel pool one last time, and then on Monday morning had to drive back home. But all in all, it was a wonderful weekend!

I'm glad you all were able to "get away" for a weekend! I hope that it was as much as it looked:) (sometimes I leave out the yucky parts- like it took 97 minutes to get to thecider mill that was 21 miles away- and i was mad and kept asking bryan to turn around because selah needed to eat. kind of ruined the trip for me:))

i want to take the boys to one of those magic places! How cool! Sad that we went to MB 3 years in a row (while in GA) and never went. Didn't know it was that awesome. Try to have a good week- I know it's a rough one!
