After the trials and tribulations of a hospital stay...the kids and I broke away for the weekend and headed to see our good friends Kelli and Ashlynn. We drove out there on Friday evening, and then went to the Ringling Brothers Circus on Saturday morning. The kids loved the circus. Jacie slept through most of it. But Caden, Cavin and Ashlynn had their eyes glued on the performers the whole time. The circus had a lot of different acts...elephants, white tigers, acrobats, tightrope walkers, etc. But unfortunately was missing two key things...the trapeze, and clowns. Can you believe it? No clowns at the circus. Of course, there were a few clown-acting people...like jugglers, and jester people. But not the rainbow hair, red nose, painted face clowns that they boys were expecting to see. Oh well!
Everyone had a great time, and the performers were amazing. If you ask their favorites...Caden liked the animal parts. Especially the trained mini-dachshunds. And Cavin liked the "white naked flipping people". Basically, a group of tumbling guys and girls in white clothing. (the guys had no shirts on) Ha ha!
He's been practicing on the couch upstairs ever since. Thank goodness we have medical insurance.

Wow, you got to go to the circus. It looked like fun. I'm sure you enjoyed seeing the animals and all the acts.
No clown? What a rip off! At least there were some cool animals- hope you had a blast!
