Halloween 2012

Put together a creepy clown (like seriously creepy), a zombie ninja complete with a bloody gash in his head, and an alternating witch and monkey, and you have the Strawser Kids Halloween!

This year was fairly quiet.  While we normally have a large gathering of people at our house getting ready for trick-or-treating, this year it was just us.  The boys took off with their friends around 6pm...and I didn’t see them until they showed back up at 9 with bags of candy.
And Jacie and I hung out together.  She wanted to go to a few of the houses on the block and say hello to some of the neighbors.  But she was cold and tired, and had a much better time sitting on the porch with me and handing out candy to all of the visitors.

Over 200 kids came to the door...and as Jacie handed them each some candy, she flashed them all a sweet smile and wished them a Happy Halloween.

It was a great night.  Made me proud of my sweet little girl, more excited about giving out candy than gathering her own.  And made me feel truly blessed for the friendships my boys have made in the neighborhood.

Happy Halloween!!
